Company Renewal Scam
.

.
A seemingly appropriately named organisation offers a $50 prompt payment discount against a Review Fee of $449, via an official looking document. And offering convenience via a credit card facility or on-line payment. But think twice!!
The chances are you will still have to pay Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) when the renewal becomes due – typically $329. Their offer is a review – but will they know whether changes should be advised? What actual services can they provide? Just a clever scam!
Every company has an annual renewal requirement with ASIC, which we already co-ordinate on your behalf, at the relevant time.
This scam is not new, but from our observations and ASIC warning, it is being mailed to many companies typically at their place of business, not their Registered Office. Some of the attached information contained, including the review date, is accurate, so beware!!
